Chanel Baume Essentiel in Transparent

If you are looking for a clean and dewy glow, this is the highlighter for you. Chanel Baume Essentiel in the shade Transparent is a gorgeous highlighter that smooths your skin and catches the light beautifully. It is a smooth balm texture which melts right into the skin leaving it with a natural glow. The texture is smooth and has a lovely consistency which makes you want to rub it all over your cheekbones.

This highlighter comes in two colors transparent and sculpting. Transparent is what the name suggests: a clean glow, while sculpting provides more of a pearlescent shine. I decided to go with transparent because I believe it is more of a unique highlighter since sculpting is a similar shade to a lot of beautiful highlighters out there.

I have been applying this highlighter on my cheekbones, inner corner of my eyes, my cupid bows, and a little below my eyebrow. It is such an easy product to use because it can be swept on the face directly from the tube or applied with fingers. I think using your fingers allow for more control but it is still fun to use the tube. I am really happy I gave into this highlighter because it seems different to the others I own.  I love that it is also a multi-usage product! I think it would also be beautiful applied on top of a lipstick to make it more shiny. This highlighter is in no way drying and really leaves my skin looking supple and hydrated. It also does sit on the face nicely throughout the day and does not feel uncomfortable or sticky.

Chanel did not fail to disappoint with this beauty and I will probably eventually give in and purchase the other shade!

Ere Perez Chamomile Eye Palette in Gorgeous

One of the newest addition to my makeup collection is this Ere Perez Chamomile Eye Palette in the shade Gorgeous. I have been eyeing this palette on Follain forever and finally purchased it in store. I have not been wearing eyeshadow that much recently, but this palette has made me want to start again. It is an earth tone palette that has has been great for everyday use since the colors are toned down and warm.

Ere Perez has four of these natural eyeshadow palettes. Each palette has 6 shades which include both mattes and shimmers. One thing I really like about these palettes are that they are eco friendly. Ere Perez carries single eyeshadow refills that can be put in once a shade is done. I think this is a great idea because it will allow me to switch up the colors in the palette and not have to replace the entire packaging!

These eyeshadows are easy to blend on the eyelid and they are not super intense. I apply the eyeshadow on top of a powdered eyelid and they have been staying on all day. I use these eyeshadows with a brush if I am planning on applying more than one color, however stick to just my finger for just one shade.

This palette is great if you are looking for an easy wash of color on your eyes to make your makeup stand out more! I am glad that I finally purchased this palette because it is perfect for a natural everyday look and for the minimal makeup lovers.

Glossier's Milky Oil

When I saw that Glossier launched a micellar water/oil makeup remover I knew I had to try it.  Their Milky Oil is a waterproof makeup remover with a light formula which promises to remove makeup easily without a lot of tugging and fuss. It is hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive eyes, safe for lips, vegan, cruelty and gluten free. Also of course Glossier did not fail to deliver the cutest bottle ever for makeup removal!

I have been using this makeup remover for about 2 weeks now and have been enjoying it for double cleansing. I have tried using it with cotton pads, but definitely prefer pouring the product directly into hands and rubbing my face clean. I think it does do its job of removing makeup while still being gentle and non irritating.

Similar to Bioderma's micellar water, I do follow up with a second cleanser (like milky jelly) for a proper skin cleanse since it does leave my skin feeling a little residue-y.

Overall, I am so far happy with Milky Oil since it does preform well. I will definitely continue using it for removing my makeup since it is easy to use and requires little effort on my part!
