Update

Life has been really busy lately! I am in the process of applying for a new job since I just recently graduated and I am also starting graduate school in March. I definitely want to start setting more time aside for my blog because I think it is really fun to look back on. I have gotten a lot more new products that I would love to review soon. :)

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Petal

I was recently gifted this Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Stick by my friend for my birthday. I got the shade Petal and I am in love with it so far! The blush’s texture is super smooth and blends really nicely into the skin. It is a cream texture, therefore it looks really natural and gives your cheeks a healthy glow. I love applying it on the lips too to add a little extra color. The staying power of this blush is great too and I was able to wear it all day outside in the burning sun! I definitely want to purchase another shade of this blush soon.

Le Rouje Velours

Rouje recently launched their new Rouje Velours which are a creamy liquid lipstick. This new formula comes in 8 different shades ranging from bright reds, pinks, browns, and pinky nudes. The packaging of these lipsticks are gorgeous and elegant and really capture Rouje's style.

I picked up the shade Alix which is a dusty pink color. I really fell in love with this shade especially when it is blended out. These lipsticks are very comfortable on the lips and do not dry completely down which I love about the formula. This formula is very creamy and does not leave your lips with a weird feeling. This lipstick can easily be built up to for full intensity but they can also be blotted on for a more natural look.

Overall I love these lipsticks and will definitely be back to Rouje's new pop up store in NYC to pick up more! Below are some images from their pop up which is really stunning.

October Favorites

October was a really busy month which led me to wear really minimal makeup. These five products were definitely my top favorites for this month since they are easy to apply and reliable!

1. Dior Lip Glow in Berry
Dior lip glow is one of my favorite lipstick formulas. It is a lip balm and applies really smoothly on the lips giving them an instant glow and a pretty tint of color. This lipstick is easy to bring everywhere because you do not need a mirror to apply it. It is also really hydrating and that packaging is chic and adorable!

2. Cocokind Mymatcha All-Over Stick
This matcha stick is a dry skin life savor. I use it on my lips as well as around my nose when it gets extra dry and flaky. Cocokind even says to use this stick under dark circles and puffy eyes. This chapstick is also bigger than normal meaning more product! I have been using this every morning and night and still have yet to make a real dent in it. The matcha in this product has antioxidants which nourish the skin and leave it really hydrated and protected.

3. Glossier Boy Brow in Brown
Boybrow. Enough said. This will forever be my favorite eyebrow gel for everyday use since it only takes a couple of seconds to fill in my brows and keep them organized for the rest of the day!

4. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
My holy grail concealer. I recently ran out of my Ears concealer in its full size and decided to buy the mini since I do have a lot of other concealers. However, none of them will compare to this one especially for under eye dark circles. This concealer blends really easily and does not crease throughout the day when set. It really looks natural under my eyes and definitely brightens them up.

5. Kjaer Weis Pressed Powder in Translucent
This pressed powder is perfect for setting concealers. It works really well with my Nars concealer and helps it stay on longer. The powder is really fine and smooth. Kjaer Weis's packaging is incredibly lovely as well and brings me joy just looking at it.

Chanel Baume Essentiel in Transparent

If you are looking for a clean and dewy glow, this is the highlighter for you. Chanel Baume Essentiel in the shade Transparent is a gorgeous highlighter that smooths your skin and catches the light beautifully. It is a smooth balm texture which melts right into the skin leaving it with a natural glow. The texture is smooth and has a lovely consistency which makes you want to rub it all over your cheekbones.

This highlighter comes in two colors transparent and sculpting. Transparent is what the name suggests: a clean glow, while sculpting provides more of a pearlescent shine. I decided to go with transparent because I believe it is more of a unique highlighter since sculpting is a similar shade to a lot of beautiful highlighters out there.

I have been applying this highlighter on my cheekbones, inner corner of my eyes, my cupid bows, and a little below my eyebrow. It is such an easy product to use because it can be swept on the face directly from the tube or applied with fingers. I think using your fingers allow for more control but it is still fun to use the tube. I am really happy I gave into this highlighter because it seems different to the others I own.  I love that it is also a multi-usage product! I think it would also be beautiful applied on top of a lipstick to make it more shiny. This highlighter is in no way drying and really leaves my skin looking supple and hydrated. It also does sit on the face nicely throughout the day and does not feel uncomfortable or sticky.

Chanel did not fail to disappoint with this beauty and I will probably eventually give in and purchase the other shade!
